Kanye West cancelled his European tour dates because of his ongoing health concerns, according to US reports.

The rapper received treatment for exhaustion and sleep deprivation in November and although he has since been released, Kanye is not considered to be ready to return to the stage for the scheduled appearances on his Saint Pablo Tour.

A source shared: "Fitness - physical and mental - are essential to him being able to be restored fully and cleared to work. He has health issues that need to be resolved prior to returning to work.

"There are fears that Kanye's cancellation of his European tour could put a serious strain on his finances, but a source close to the 39-year-old star has insisted he will be fine, despite the lost income.

A mum allegedly beat her two young sons and bit one of them after they opened their Christmas presents early.

Sascha Collins, 36, is charged with two counts of battery following the alleged assault in Greenfield, Indiana, last Sunday.

Her seven and nine-year-old sons told police they had opened presents found hidden in their mother's wardrobe.

They claim she beat them with a belt buckle and threw them against the wall.

The boys' teenage sister alerted authorities after finding them upset and covered in bruises.

How do you deal with Christmas once the kids have all grown up?

I know you’re not an agony aunt and problem resolution isn’t your thing, but I thought I’d write to you because you must be sick of your husband getting all the mail at this time of year.

You see, I have a festive family tale of woe. The season of merriment has caused a generational identity crisis at Chez Low and our family is caught in the grip of a role reversal that is, quite frankly, ripping my tinsel.

It all started on Friday night. I was heading to a Christmas basketball tournament with my teenagers and I donned a new T-shirt I’d bought for the occasion.

As soon as they spotted my outfit, my two strapping 6ft 2in boys eyed me with pure fear.

“How do we stop her?” one said to the other, his voice tight with horror. “Barricade the doors,” came the reply. Meanwhile, I looked down at my sparkly top, adorned with a Christmas present and the words, “GANGSTA WRAPPER” and didn’t see the problem at all.

Did I complain when six-year-old Low the Elder insisted on going everywhere dressed as an elf? No.

Did I object to the penguin onesie era of 2013? I don’t believe I did.

Nor did I bat an eyelid when we were joined at the Yuletide dinner table of 2008 by SpongeBob Squarepants and a camel.

Five terrible things which could mean 2017 is even worse than this year

It’s become fashionable to complain about 2016, with its seemingly never-ending stream of political upsets and celebrity deaths

3. There could be a housing crash

Several experts have predicted a housing crash for 2017. Lancaster University's UK Housing Market Observatory said that the London market is entering 'bubble' territory - and could crash, possibly leading to a national crash. Professor Ivan Paya from Lancaster University Management School said: 'Boom and bust in housing markets has a major impact on people's lives. UK housing prices have reached a new high, surpassing those of 2007, and it's important we try to anticipate the kind of price crashes that lead to negative equity and hefty, disproportionate mortgages.'

4. Could Russia declare war?

Donald Trump's warm statements about Vladimir Putin may not make the world a safer place, a leading NATO expert has warned. General Sir Richard Shirreff, Nato's deputy supreme allied commander for Europe between 2011 and 2014, has warned that this might tempt the Kremlin to make dangerous moves. Shirreff said, 'For whoever's sitting in the Kremlin, if he or she decides to have a go at the Baltic states, he may just decide, 'Yeah I think the chances are I'll get away with it.'And that, of course, makes the world more dangerous.’

5. North Korea has enough material for 20 nuclear bombs

By the start of next year, North Korea could have enough nuclear material for 20 bombs, experts have warned. North Korea has developed a uranium enrichment program which could mean the state is capable of making around six nuclear bombs a year, according to Siegfried Hecker, a top expert on the North's nuclear program, who published a report for Johns Hopkins University in Washington.

Former Heisman winner, Bears first-round pick Rashaan Salaam dead at 42

Former Chicago Bears first-round pick Rashaan Salaam, the 1994 Heisman Trophy winner, was found dead on Monday night at a park in Boulder, Colo. He was 42.
Salaam, was a San Diego native and rose to stardom at the University of Colorado, where as a junior he was a big part of the Buffaloes squad that went 11-1 and was ranked No. 3 in the polls at the end of the season. He rushed for 2,055 yards that season, becoming just the fourth college player to eclipse 2,000 yards, earning him the Heisman over Penn State’s Ki-Jana Carter and Alcorn State’s Steve McNair.
Police said there were no signs of foul play in Salaam’s death, and the cause of death is unknown at this point. The Boulder Daily Camera reported it is being investigated as a possible suicide.

Salaam left Colorado after winning the Heisman, and the Bears chose him 21st overall in the 1995 draft. His rookie season went well as the 6-foot-1 back recorded 1,074 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, but it was the high-water mark for his career.

Apple admits the iPhone 6 Plus has 'Touch Disease'

Apple has admitted that the iPhone 6 has “Touch Disease”, a glitch that leaves the handset's touch screen inoperable.

The problem surfaced in August when repair site iFixit diagnosed a problem with controller chips that lost electrical contact with the phablet's motherboard.

Apple, as is its wont, remained silent … until Thursday US time when a Multi-Touch Repair Program for iPhone 6 Plus page appeared on its site.

“Apple has determined that some iPhone 6 Plus devices may exhibit display flickering or Multi-Touch issues after being dropped multiple times on a hard surface and then incurring further stress on the device,” the page reads, before outlining a repair program.

For US$149, Apple will fix the device provided the phone “is in working order, and the screen is not cracked or broken”. That's the same price as a new screen, but rather less than the $329 charged for out of warranty services.

For owners who have already paid for repairs, Apple will refund the difference between the price of that service and the $149 deal offered under this program.

Apple's copping a fair bit of criticism at the moment for not offering innovative new products. Its Watch has mostly tanked and the new MacBook Pro and its Touch Bar represents a rather smaller step forward than Microsoft's touchy Surface Studio workstation.

A woman who admitted having sex with a dog will await her sentencing behind bars.

Jenna Louis Driscoll, 27, pleaded guilty to bestiality and three drugs-related charges in Brisbane District Court in August.

The sentencing for her offences was reserved, with the judge saying the acts of bestiality were ‘repulsive’ and ‘against the order of nature’.

The charges arose after police discovered disturbing video of Driscoll performing the obscene act while they were investigating unrelated allegations back in 2014.

During her court appearance in October 2014 she arrived accompanied by an unnamed man and a dog, believed to be a pitbull terrier.

Defence lawyer James Godbolt said Driscoll had sex with the dog at the request of her former partner and had been publically shamed.

This is how much cell damage smoking a pack of cigarettes causes

Smoking a pack of cigarettes a day causes an average of 150 mutations a year in lung cells, according to a new study that identifies specific ways smoke exposure damages DNA.

The research, published in the journal Science, analyses and compares tumours, providing the first accurate measure of the devastating genetic damage smoking inflicts not only in lungs but also in other organs not directly exposed to smoke.
Although it was previously known that smoking contributes to at least 17 types of human cancers, it had remained unclear exactly how cigarettes caused tumours, according to the researchers from Britain’s Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute and the Los Alamos National Laboratory in the United States.
Although they saw the largest number of genetic mutations in lung tissue, other parts of the body also displayed changes in DNA, helping explain how smoking causes various types of cancer.
Cigarettes contain more than 7,000 different chemicals, of which 70 are known to be carcinogenic, the researchers said, pointing to the complexity of how smoke interacts with the body.

This study offers fresh insights into how tobacco smoke causes cancer,” said Ludmil Alexandrov of the Los Alamos National Laboratory, one of the study’s main co-authors.

“Before now, we had a large body of epidemiological evidence linking smoking with cancer, but now we can actually observe and quantify the molecular changes in the DNA due to cigarette smoking,” he added.
“With this study, we have found that people who smoke a pack a day develop an average of 150 extra mutations in their lungs every year, which explains why smokers have such a higher risk of developing lung cancer.”
In the first comprehensive analysis of the DNA of cancers linked to smoking, the scientists studied more than 5,000 tumours, comparing smokers’ cancers with those of people who had never smoked.
They found specific molecular features of damage in the smokers’ DNA, determined by the number of those mutations in different tumours.
More than 6 million deaths a year
Although the number of mutations within cancer cells varies between people, the new study identifies the additional “mutational load” tobacco smoking causes.

The star of the Rush Hour trilogy, Chan received an honorary Oscar at the Governor Awards on Saturday in Los Angeles. The ceremony sees prolific screen legends from both in front and behind the camera honoured for their lifetime contributions to cinema.

In an emotional speech, Chan thanked the Academy and recalled how his son had always wondered why he had not won one previously, citing how he mostly made action-comedies as the reason why.

He also shouted out to Sylvester Stallone in the audience, saying how he once kissed one of his award statues while visiting his house.
"After 56 years [in the] film industry, making over 200 films, breaking so many bones, finally this is mine."
The Karate Kid actor was introduced by Rush Hour co-star Chris Tucker and received speeches from Michelle Yeoh and Tom Hanks.
Other honourees include documentary maker Frederick Wiseman, film editor Anne V. Coates and casting director Lynn Stalmaster.
The 89th Academy Awards take place on February 27, 2017.

Leading up to election day, a number of celebrities insisted they would hightail it to Canada or elsewhere, should Donald Trump become the next President of the United States. Turns out, the American electorate didn’t really care whether these A-listers stuck around or not. Here’s a list of celebs who have hopefully already started packing!

1. Lena Dunham

At the 2016 Matrix Awards, Dunham told Andy Cohen that she would move to Canada if Trump wins the election. “I know a lot of people have been threatening to do this, but I really will,” Dunham said. “I know a lovely place in Vancouver and I can get my work done from there.”

2. Barbara Steisand

“He has no facts. I don’t know, I can’t believe it. I’m either coming to your country, if you’ll let me in, or Canada,” Streisand said about Trump in an interview on Australia’s “60 Minutes.”

3. Chelsea Handler

In more than one interview, talk show host Chelsea Handler said she would either move to Spain or Canada...

This Barack Obama quote about Donald Trump is now more terrifying than ever

Donald Trump seems likely to become the next president of the United States of America.

Let that one sink in.

People in the US have been googling how to emigrate to Canada to such an extent that the department website crashed earlier today.

It's not hard to see why, and this Barack Obama quote can go a long way to explaining the slight panic.

In the last few days of campaigning, it was reported that Trump's staff confiscated his Twitter, given his laissez-faire stance with logic and tact.

President Obama commented eloquently on this only a few days ago:
