girl steals customer’s ATM card, withdraws N.3m

Operatives of the Rapid Response
Squad, RRS, of Lagos State Police Command, weekend, arrested a club girl, who
allegedly stole one of her male customers’ Automated Teller Machine, ATM, while
the latter was sleeping.
The suspect said she stole the money
to stock her shop and take care of her daughter. At the time of the arrest, she
was discovered to have successfully withdrawn N300,000 from the account.
Arrested alongside the 24-year-old suspect, identified as Bamigboye Imoleayo,
were three accomplices, among who was her boyfriend. Two Android phones, eight
pairs of trousers and shirts, suspected to have been bought with the
illegally-withdrawn money, were recovered from the suspects.

Alli, visited the club on September 23, where he met the suspect. Apprehension,
according to him, set in next day, after he received an SMS debit alert of N90,000
on his phone. Alli said: “While I was still contemplating on how to deal with
the issue, I got another debit alert for buying two Infinix phones totalling
N84,000. I was confused and shocked.
